Tony's funeral

Just a short note to update you on Tony Robinson's funeral today. It was very moving, not a dry eye in the house as they say. Tony lived such a rich and varied life, and was loved by so many people. the stories of his humour, kindness and generous spirit abounded. It was great to see how many NSBHS relationships he had rekindled in recent years - Ben Teh, Pete Llewelyn-Smith, Roger Faulkner, Dan Dasey all spoke of great time with Tony in recent years. It was also important to hear about the dangerous reality of mental illness, and how hard Tony fought against its grip over the last 10 years and more.
RIP Tony.
Would love to have some others who were there post their responses.

Hi John

The boys all spoke incredibly well in honour of our mate.

Robbo's stepsister Mandy, who was in the trenches with him in what turned out to be a desperate hour-by-hour struggle in his last month, spoke frankly and openly, including reading out a chilling poem written by Robbo in the midst of that struggle.

In the circumstances, it was also really great to catch up again with so many NSBH guys, in memory of Robbo.
