Noble - always practical

Nicholas Noble - always the pragmatist with a clear set of priorities. This photo is a case in point - snapped at a small trout fishing farm near Innsbruck, Austria circa 1992 - it clearly shows a man in his prime, able to keep his hands warm, sink a lager and have a sensitive touch on the fishing line all at the same time.

Is that a shot from Chamber's and Noble's European Trip of 3000 Tins? A very fruity and torrid campaign, by all acounts. Swedes, Danes, Germans, Spaniards... who knows how many enthusiastic young Euro Totty types got to... er, go fishing. In the Greek Islands, they still talk fondly about how it all went off like a bag of prawns in the sun. A pack of full-tar Ducados... a bottle of Retsina... a face full of Noble's ball berley... VERY CONTINENTAL, and better than those Bulgarian bongo mags be's got stashed out in the shed.

indeed it is - action shot at the height of Rod and jim's euro tour. Somewhere just out of shot is that slim-hipped soccer star scatrick furnshusse, no doubt shimmying up to anything that breathes for a quick cuddle
